Spirits of Oakwood Walking History Tour Saturday

The 'Spirits of Oakwood' Walking History Tour will celebrate it's tenth anniversary Saturday, and provide tours starting every ten minutes of Oakwood Cemetery. The cemetery is located at the corner of Oakwood Street and Palace Avenue.

Admission is $10 for adults and kids under 12 get in free when with an adult. Refreshments will be available on site, and historians dressed in period costumes will portray early merchants and settlers buried there. They will also present 'Best of the Past,' a compilation of the previous nine years.

The annual event is produced isby the Oakwood Cemetery Restoration Committee. Parking is availble at True Vine Baptist Church located on Oakwood Street, enter on Ellis Avenue.
