bikers rule for school

Although today is officially the first day of summer, volunteers at PATH (People Attempting To Help) are thinking about the education of East Texas school children for the coming school year.  Today PATH kicks off the annual School Supply Train by collecting desperately needed school supplies for school children of Smith County.

June 23, 2011 was Mix 93-1's third Biker's Rule For School. This annual event is a great time for bikers all across East Texas to join forces and cruise the county raising awareness and school supplies for P.A.T.H. This year we travel over 150 miles through in a 500 plus bike convoy demonstrating that together we can lighten the heavy load placed upon many parents struggling to make ends meet...

Going to school without school supplies is a reality for some children of  Smith County - whether it be not having a backpack, calculator, protractor, ruler, notebook or something as simple as a pen, pencil or crayons - all of these items are necessary for children to learn while in school.  That is why Mix 93-1 hosts the Biker's Rule 4 School motorcycle ride each year.
