One of the biggest Old West shootouts happened in Longview in the late 1800's. This year brings another entertaining reenactment of the bank robbery.

An Old West shoot out recreating a bank robbery that took place in the 1800's in Longview is the big draw during Dalton Days!

The tallest building in Longview is also site to the last robbery Bill Dalton and the remainder of his gang committed before getting caught in Oklahoma.

One of the Old West's biggest shootouts will be recreated in downtown Longview on Saturday, April 16th during Dalton Days that will also feature Wild West shows, blacksmith demonstrations, activities and more.

Blooming azaleas in Tyler and dogwood trees in Palestine and the smell of bbq on the square in downtown Tyler signify spring has arrived in East Texas! On Saturday, April 11, the Dalton Gang will ride again in downtown Longview, as the Gregg County Historical Museum will re-enact the famous bank robbery from May 23, 1894.
