Finished gingerbread houses rarely turn out like the picture on the box, and that's a good thing. An annual gingerbread house fail is a pretty fantastic holiday tradition.

We try it each year, and each year we fail at making pretty ribbons with the icing and properly spacing out the gumdrops. But this might have been the worst gingerbread house fail so far with the dog adding his touch.

There's something about the holidays that puts a lot of us here at TheFW into extra crafty moods. Maybe it's all those awesome Etsy decorations we so wish we could copy or just the fact we're feeling particularly festive this time of year. Either way, trying to get all creatively crafty is just plain old fun.
