It's a Mother's Day weekend tradition with thousands of participants walking and running their way through the brick streets of the Azalea District of Tyler racing in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer.

The race for the cure is on with the annual Tyler Komen Race for the Cure. Thousands of participants will be filling the streets of downtown Tyler as they run, jog, walk and crawl their way to the finish line all in an effort to raise money to help find a cure for breast cancer for women and men.
The Komen Tyler Race For The Cure is tomorrow morning at Bergfeld Park in Tyler. More than 4,000 people have registered to enter the race to help find a cure for breast cancer and today is the last day to preregister by stopping by Brookshires on Rice Rd. in Tyler from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
