The Texas Music Foundation is giving Texans the opportunity to show love for their state and music while driving down the highway or through a suburban neighborhood with their new license plates.

The Texas Department of Transportation would like you to know that they do have a sense of humor. However, certain plates - well, they just can't allow. Since January of this year, the TX-DMV has rejected around 870 plates because of offensive or questionable language - or because the plates are deceptive  ("Mayor", "FBI", etc)...

Today is the day the new custom license plates go on sale to support the TJC Apache Belles. Ten percent of the proceeds support the dance team. The new plates contain the image of the uniform worn by the Belles from the 1950's through the mid 80's. The uniform doesn't exist anymore, but it can give your car that retro-cool look!

Sometimes we wish we had more interesting license plates than the standard government issued ones. Customized vanity plates seem much more interesting than just some random letters and numbers.
