It could be awhile yet (if ever) before Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman take on the MythBusters title again, but at least ten new science-minded personalities are waiting in the wings for the Science Channel’s new competition to replace them. The final season of MythBusters notably suffered the lack of fan-favorite M7 Build Team members Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara, but leave it to a crack team of engineers to devise a new solution. The trio will return for a new Netflix series cryptically described as “MythBusters in Wonderland.”

MythBusters’ 14-year run has barely had enough time to pack up its equipment, and already new faces might pick up the mantle from Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. The Discovery-owned Science Channel has in mind to revive the famous pop-culture science phenomenon, launching a Search for the Next MythBusters reality competition to find new hosts.

Over the years we've seen the 'Mythbusters' crew making a number of headlines for their many themed episodes and stunts, but the latest news may prove troubling for fans of the longtime Discovery Channel series. On Tuesday a cannon ball from firing range in Dublin, CA missed its intended target and hit a residential home — going all the way through one wall and exiting through another — a vehicle was reported damaged as well.  According to the Alameda Sheriff, the cannonball “took a few unfortunate bounces” during a “Mythbusters” experiment gone awry.
