Digging into the fun history of Palo Duro Canyon we discovered a long forgotten attraction.

Just to put it into perspective, the last time a the great conjunction (totally what it's called, btw) this close happened - it was March 4, 1226.

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, you can check out the “Super Pink Moon”. This moon has a lot going on, so let’s break it down.

Look in the southeast sky one hour before sunrise to see Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars all lining up with the moon

It’s called the “super worm moon”, and you can see it on March 9th.

You won't have to look too hard!

Although past 9 p.m., the sky was so bright it seemed much earlier. Scattered clouds moved quickly across the moon, casting stunning shadows on the sidewalk.

Tonight you can see two planets very close to each other in the night sky.

You could see a couple of planets in the evening sky during the coming days, and it will be easier to spot them with the moon passing very nearby.

If you wake up before sunrise, you can see the red planet in the eastern sky.

The Draconids meteor shower radiates from near the constellation Draco. Draco the dragon. It’s in the northwestern sky. It'll peak in the evening on October 8, but you can see these meteors until the tenth.

If the moon looks bigger than usual Saturday night/Sunday morning, it is not your eyes playing tricks on you.
