The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will host the 10th annual Holiday in the Park and Bazaar on Dec. 11 and 12 at Bergfeld Park.

Get ready for snow! There is a tubing hill planned along with a snow play area for the kids, and plenty fun for adults, too. You can knock out some of your Christmas shopping while enjoying entertainment presented by local dance, choir and cheer groups on Saturday from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Let the kids play in the Kid’s Zone featuring pony rides, a bungee jump, bounce houses and rock wall. The fun begins on Friday, Dec. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. with “Snow Play” and the Kid’s Zone in the park, and continues on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Santa Scirto will be there, too!  Expect his unusual arrival around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Photo opportunities with Santa will be available until 5:30 p.m.

“This is a wonderful family event for the City of Tyler,” said Debbie Isham, special events and recreation manager. “It is a chance for everyone in the community to come out and enjoy the park, the snow, the local entertainment and greet neighbors before the holidays.”

Bergfeld Park is located at Broadway and Fourth St. in Tyler. The snow play and entertainment are free of charge. Concessions and the Kid’s Zone will be available for a fee.
