Shreveport-Bossier residents had a lot to be excited about on November 1 as the Shreveport Aquarium officially opened. School children from the local area were in attendance along with Mayor Ollie Tyler, according to Shreveport Times .

KTBS, an ABC affiliate, says the aquarium is billed as an 'underwater world of wonder' where patrons can experience creaking shipwrecks, dark ocean caves, colorful coral reefs, tropical lagoons, and well, sea life.

Come check out the all new aquarium, which includes two grey reef sharks!

Admission:

  • $12 for adults
  • $8 for children

Discounts are available for students, seniors, first responders and the military.

Originally the aquarium was supposed to open on September 1, but hurricanes made it difficult for the aquarium to acquire fish and other aquarium stock. Shreveport Aquarium is located on 601 Clyde Fant Parkway, Shreveport, Louisiana.
