Yesterday I ventured out to Mike Carter Field to watch TJC take on Cumberland County for the Division 3 NJCAA National Title. The game started at 7:00 p.m., but would quickly be delayed by isolated showers.

Halfway into the first inning, Cumberland was on the board and the Apaches were at bat when the first wave of rain rolled in. Announcer Bryan Houston, kept fans entertained with rained themed music and updates concerning the weather radar. They did not want to move the game to today.

The rain cleared, but it looked like a second wave was headed that way. After getting soaked in the first shower, I went home to dry off and change. I returned for the restart at 9:45 p.m.

The Apaches had a great home crowd, and picked up momentum after the restart.

With big hits, and smart base running the Apaches continued to lead 6-3 on into the 9th inning.
