UPDATE: These two have officially tied the knot, according to E! News. "They didn't tell anyone they were doing it," a source said. "They are doing a separate ceremony out of the country with a few family members soon as well."

ORIGINAL POST: Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, who shocked the entertainment world when they announced a lightning-quick engagement earlier this year, have sworn they don't plan to get married until 2019.

So...why did they just stop by a marriage courthouse together?

According to TMZ, the couple visited the Marriage Bureau in New York City Thursday (September 13), where they both were demonstrably emotional. Sources say Bieber was crying and saying to Baldwin "I can't wait to marry you baby." Another said Bieber and Baldwin planned to leave the country immediately after the visit.

And while TMZ can't confirm that the couple definitely got married, a source told the site Bieber told a judge "Thanks for keeping it on the DL," which would indicate they, indeed, tied the knot.

A source previously told the site the young couple wanted to take the time to make their ceremony just right.

"We're told they feel they've made the commitment, and that's the most important thing," TMZ wrote.

"Justin's been in love with her for a long time, so this didn't just come from out of the blue," the source added.

Bieber popped the question to Baldwin during a romantic trip to the Bahamas in July. The singer confirmed the news days later on Instagram.
