Variety is reporting that Netflix has given the greenlight to a 10-episode series order on the classic 70’s sitcom “Good Times.”

Show creator Norman Lear and his company Act III Prods. shingle will partner with Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and his company Unanimous Media and Seth MacFarlane from the hit animated TV shows “Family Guy”, "The Cleveland Show", and “American Dad” production company shingle Fuzzy Door will all play a role in the development.

In the animated series the ‘Evans family’ will deal with issues in today’s society and social issues like in the original series said Carl Jones of Both Act III who will be executive producer of the project.

It’s a dream come true to be working with the legendary talents of Norman Lear, Seth MacFarlane and Stephen Curry. We are excited to carry on the original legacy of ‘Good Times’ — but now animated and a little edgier. Let’s just say the struggle has just gotten strugglier.

Good Times will not be a stranger to the "new" generation of viewers as ABC hosted "Lear's Live in Front of a Studio Audience", last December where the re-recreation of the series had Hollywood actors Viola, Davis, Andre Braugher, Tiffany Haddish, and others.

I am definitely looking forward to "Good Times" the animated series!

Just hope they have Florida drop the animated punch bowl saying the famous quote "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!" in the time of a crisis.

How long it takes to binge 'The Office,' 'Game of Thrones,' and 50 other famous TV shows
