I grew up in a one-stoplight town in rural Nebraska and lived there until I was old enough to fly the coop! I graduated from college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, then took off for Austin, TX. Any city with beautiful trees and awesome refried beans just can't be beat. From there I worked in radio in Dallas, and I've been on 85 stations across the country at one time or another. I've got an amazing family and love spending time with them. But two toddlers can wear a girl out! I try to keep up. I've found that mac and cheese helps, and sometimes you just have to let them play with your pens and papers as a way to keep the peace.
Proudest Moment: When I gave birth. That was something I never thought I would do and the whole experience was something I'll never forget.
Favorite 3 Movies: Steel Magnolias, The Hours, and Eat Pray Love. Chick flicks rule.
Coolest Celeb You Ever Met: Pat Green. He was nicer than most and super down to earth.
Celeb You'd Like To Invite To Dinner: Oprah. Many people say it, but I really mean it. I'm fascinated.
Favorite TV Channels: HGTV, Food Network, ESPN. And Nick Jr. for the girls. I make such sacrifices for them.
Quirky favorite things: Blue ink and cheddar cheese.

I'm doing something I've always wanted to do - besides being a meteorologist on TV! I got my start in radio in 1995 as an intern with Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. From there I moved to Tyler in 1997 and have been on the air on every daypart since – one of my most memorable was the Mix Morning Show with Jake, Janna and Lucky Larry! I've also worked in Portland, OR – beautiful part of the country. I enjoy Mix 93-1 because it's my music!
And now for they Q and A part!
Proudest Moment: actually 2 - the day I met my wife and the birth of my daughter
Favorite 3 Movies: I always get asked this question - I don't go to the movies that often so I can't think of any right now
Coolest Celeb You Ever Met: Rob Thomas
Celeb You'd Like To Invite To Dinner: Gwen Stefani
Favorite TV Channels: Weather Channel, Food Network, Discovery Channel along with local news - I'm a news and weather junkie

I have to tell you...I am so glad to be back in East Texas! My family tree runs all through it...from Gilmer to Jacksonville to Troup. I know the difference between a Jacksonville "mater", a Noonday onion, and a Gilmer yam! I also eat, breathe, and sleep pop culture and the “at work” lifestyle. Outside of radio, I’m a busy working mom-proud of my two little ones, ages 10 and 4. They keep me grounded. Time management-what’s that? I’m just as guilty as the next working mom and I try to get it all done in a day! Calm, cool, and together….NOT ME!
Bad hair days, lollipop stuck to my bottom, plastic Spider Man in my purse…THAT’S more like it. I’m also active in Girl Scouting where I lead a troop, an avid runner, a Sunday School teacher, and a Crock Pot aficionado (let's swap recipes). Thanks for having me back and I look forward to hearing from you!

I was born and raised in East Texas and started working in radio when I was just 15 years old. I have spent the last 22 years on the air here in East Texas, but have also done work in Dallas, Waco, Lufkin, and Ft. Smith!
I graduated from John Tyler High School in 1992 and attended TJC as part of their criminal justice program. I currently live in Lindale with my wife, four kids, and weenie dog “Snickers”. It’s kind of weird for me having a family that big since I grew up as an only child!
What do you love the most about radio? I love the fact that now radio is more than just a tuner and a set of speakers. Radio can now be heard around the world through internet streaming and cell phone apps. I also enjoy the social-media aspect of radio where we can truly communicate with fans of the radio station on a personal level. I can look at their Facebook profile and really get to know them! A lot better than just talking to them on the request line!
What is your favorite band/ artist/ album? I love all types of music, but mostly rock music. AC/DC, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, Nickelback, etc. My favorite album of all time is Back In Black by AC/DC!
Biggest pet peeve? I have a bunch…most all of them have to do with driving. People who don’t use their blinkers, and people who think the center turn lane is an actual driving lane! I also get aggravated when people at the check-out line wait until the cashier is finished ringing up their merchandise until they start to fill out their checks! Besides, who uses checks any more anyway?!?!
Hobbies? I love to ride motorcycles. I got my license a few years ago and enjoy going for long country rides around East Texas. It really helps to clear your mind and relax you. I don’t have a Harley yet…but will when I grow up!
