American Idol San Francisco Auditions
Last night's American Idol auditions took us to San Francisco.
THE GOOD
• Stefano Langone had a sad tale of a car crash, and nailed Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine."
More After the jump.
• Karaoke host Clint Jun Gamboa put some gospel on Travie McCoy's "Billionaire."
• Colombian Julie Zorrilla impressed Jennifer Lopez with golden shoes, and a sweet take on the standard "Summertime."
• Emily Anne Reed put her perky falsetto onto Harry Warren's "You're Getting to Be a Habit With Me." Lopez loved squeaky tone, but Steven Tyler wasn't sold.
• James Durbin, who has Tourette Syndrome that stops when he sings, bravely took on Aerosmith's "Dream On."
THE BAD
• Inessa Lee seemed more like a stripper with belly dancing, yoga poses and the mangling of "All Out of Love" by Air Supply.
• Dave Combs tried a rough take on the Beatles' "Oh! Darling." Steven Tyler (wearing a Beatles T-shirt) rebuked Combs for blowing the melody.
• Kenneth Berba leaped onto the stage in a homemade lion costume & another guy was a Transformer.
