Back in April, we told you how locals in Austin noticed a disturbing trend of young men going missing after a night out on the popular Rainey Street downtown. The men were found the next morning dead in nearby Lady Bird Lake.

The mysterious deaths date all the way back to 2008 and have been increasing since. In 2022, there were 5 men found dead in various locations on Lady Bird Lake. Austinites on social media have been speculating that a serial killer could be in the city's midst.

Nick Casablancas is an Austin-based comedian with over 200,000 followers on Tik Tok. He published a video discussing the potential serial killer and the reasons people are convinced there's a killer on the loose.

The Austin Fire Department reported that a man was found floating in Lady Bird Lake Tuesday morning. The fire department said they received a call around 10:30 a.m. of a body floating in the water and that they were able to retrieve the person who was unfortunately deceased.
