Born and raised in Dallas, I was bitten by the radio bug at a very young age. By the age of 10, I had my own make-shift radio station set up in my room. At the age of 16 I took to the airwaves at KEOM-FM in Dallas. At 18 I went to work for ABC/SMN in Dallas. After serving in the Air Force during Desert Storm, I stepped back into radio at WKDY-FM in Upstate New York. From there I returned home to Dallas where I joined the legendary on-air line up at Smooth Jazz 107.5 “The Oasis”. I moved to the East Texas air waves in 1997 and after taking an oath to never reveal the secret handshake, I joined the cast and crew at Townsquare Media as evening host on Mix 93.1 and Chief Innovation Officer for the company.

In this clip, Foley artist Gary Hecker, who got his start working on "The Empire Strikes Back," demonstrates the unexpected techniques a Foley artist will use to make movies sound right.
