Nelly Furtado Falls Short Performing ‘Big Hoops’ at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards
Don’t get us wrong — we love Nelly Furtado. But her performance of her new single ‘Big Hoops’ during the Billboard Music Awards fell a bit short of our expectations. With such big hits as ‘I’m Like a Bird’ and ‘Maneater,’ we were excited to see what the songstress had in store for us tonight.
2012 Billboard Music Awards Cut Off Donna Summer Dedication Performance Featuring Natasha Bedingfield
Disappointment isn’t a strong enough word to explain how we felt when they cut off Natasha Bedingfield’s performance of ‘Last Dance’ by the late Donna Summer.
Summer had been an influential part of the music industry for the last 40 years and to have them cut to a commercial before Bedingfield could even finish the first chorus of the song just seemed downright rude.
Justin Bieber Performs His New Hit ‘Boyfriend’ at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards
Tonight at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards Justin Bieber graced the stage looking adorable as always to perform his latest single ‘Boyfriend.’
Kelly Clarkson Brings Us Over to Her ‘Dark Side’ at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards
It’s been a decade since Kelly Clarkson became the first winner of the hit TV show ‘American Idol’ and tonight onstage at the Billboard Music Awards, Clarkson proved that she’s still got the same talent and charisma that made us fall in love with her 10 years ago. Singing her new single ‘Dark Side,’ the singer wore a sexy red dress and looked confident and radiant as she delivered the first perfor
Joshua Ledet ‘Raises Us Up’ + Proves ‘It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World’ On ‘American Idol’
‘American Idol’ contestant Joshua Ledet did sunshine state native Josh Groban proud with his powerful performance of the song ‘You Raise Me Up’ on tonight’s (May 9) episode. Ledet showed a range of vocal variety, taking us from low to high and making it almost impossible to believe that last year he was sent home without even a ticket to Hollywood.
Phillip Phillips Makes Us Swoon With ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’ + ‘Volcano’ On ‘American Idol’
‘American Idol’ contestant Phillip Phillips was either smiling tonight because he’s in the final four, or perhaps it was because he was embracing the spirit of tonight’s round one theme and California dreamin’.
Joshua Ledet ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ For Your Votes on ‘American Idol’
This week, ‘American Idol’ contestant Joshua Ledet sang ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ by Motown sensations the Temptations. After this performance, we don’t think Ledet will have to beg, or even politely ask for America’s vote because he’s already got it. In rehearsal, Jimmy Iovine told the singer he was “a gift” and joked about when, not if, he would be making a record with Ledet.
Skylar Laine Takes The ‘American Idol’ Stage By Storm With ‘Fortunate Son’ + ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’
Somehow our favorite country bumpkin on ‘American Idol‘ this season, Skylar Laine, landed herself in the bottom three last week. Rather than sulking about her near demise, the fiery singer came out tonight (May 2) in a fringed vest and boots choosing to perform a foot stomping rendition of ‘Fortunate Son’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Hollie Cavanagh Comes Out Swinging With ‘River Deep – Mountain High’ + ‘Bleeding Love’ on ‘American Idol’
We have been sitting on the edge of our seats just waiting for ‘American Idol’ contestant Hollie Cavanagh to bust out of her shell. While she has one of the biggest voices in the competition, she also has spent the duration of it fading into the background on account of bad song choices and, of course, tough competition.
‘American Idol’ Contestant Elise Testone ‘Killed It’ With Rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘You & I’
‘American Idol‘ contestant Elise Testone was left to close tonight’s show, and after several standout performances, the pressure was on. Maybe it’s simply because she’s got the chops, or maybe it was the video of celebrity Jason Segal wishing her luck before she sang – but in any event she blew it out of the water with her performance, of Lady Gaga‘s ‘You & I.’
Joshua Ledet Proves He Won’t Be ‘Running Away’ From ‘American Idol’ Anytime Soon
This week’s ‘American Idol‘ contestant Joshua Ledet turned 20 years old today (April 11). But before performing Bruno Mars‘ ‘Runaway Baby,’ Ryan Seacrest had a special birthday greeting for Ledet from none other than third season ‘Idol’ winner Fantasia Barrino. We visited his hometown of West Lake, La. where apparently they are as excited about Ledet as we are. Humble and adorable Ledet said “I’m
Skylar Laine ‘Doesn’t Know How Much We Loved Her’ On ‘American Idol’
Mississippian and ‘American Idol’ contestant and Skylar Laine may just be the best singer on whatever side of the Mississippi she resides on. This week the contestants had a plethora of options as they were able to choose any song that had been recorded from 2010 on. Not a surprise Laine picked a country song, ‘Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,’ by fellow country crooner and ‘Idol’ alum Kellie
