BBQ, Live Music, Shopping, Comics, New Homes Top This Weekends Events

This is the weekend we've been looking forward to for about a year now here at the radio station it's our 10th annual Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival weekend. Again, it is a SOLD OUT event. People from all across the US will be joining us on the brick streets of downtown Tyler on Saturday afternoon and evening to enjoy some phenomenal barbecue and live music.

I sure hope you have tickets and we'll see you in downtown Tyler Saturday. Now if you didn't get tickets in time and you're looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of things to do in East Texas. Go shopping, see a movie for free, tour new homes, attend a comic event and so much more.

Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival

This festival is all about barbecue and music! Celebrating it's 10th year in downtown Tyler, the Red Dirt BBQ + Music Festival will feature smoked meats from some of the best BBQ joints from around the great state of Texas! Once the sun starts to set on downtown Tyler the live music kicks in from some of the biggest names in Red Dirt country music on the brick streets of downtown Tyler. This is a ticketed event. The free Movies In The Park Spring 2024 series continues with a free showing of 'A Million Miles Away' (rated PG). Bring the family along with some snacks, chairs or a blanket to spread out on the lawn and enjoy a movie under the stars.

East Texas residential home builders have been quite busy the past few months making their blueprints come to life by putting nails to boards, paint to the drywall, and adding stunning fixtures to gorgeous homes in and around the Longview area. 4th Annual Remembrance Run

The 4th Annual Tyler Remembrance Run, benefiting The Children's Park. We are so excited to put this event on for our community this spring!
This beautiful, serene space is available to families who need a special place to grieve the loss of a child. Alison's House, the red brick home on our property, is the host of all of our daily operations, programming for our 3 annual events & retreats, and facility for our several weekly support groups. Registration is required to participate in the run.

Beginner Fly Fishing Class

Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center - Athens

Master fly-fisher Bob Cappallo of Corsicana will teach fly-fishing for beginners 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4th at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) in Athens.

The classes are open to adults and youths accompanied with an adult. No fly-fishing experience is required. Equipment will be provided, but students may bring their own. Instruction will focus on equipment, equipment selection, basic knot tying, casting and casting fundamentals. The $50 fee for the class will include lunch. There is a registration fee for this event.

Consider this your official interview. You’ll have to keep your wits about you, stay sharp, and answer questions in perfect order to survive the job! Registration is required before attending.
