Oftentimes East Texans turn to Chick-fil-A to fulfill their chicken sandwich and chicken nuggets craving needs. Just drive by any location in Tyler, Texas or Longview at lunch or dinner time and you'll see what I'm talking about. The drive-thru lines are packed with customers waiting to place their order and that's with double drive-thru lines at many of their locations.

It's also tough when you're craving those pickle slices on top of that chicken sandwich on a Sunday just knowing you can't get that fix you so desperately want because the fast food giant is closed on Sundays.

This news is just about as bad as that because a Tyler location will be temporarily closing and forcing many customers to seek out that chicken sandwich at another location.

Why is the Chick-fil-A on Troup Hwy. closed again?

Thursday, October 12th will be the last day you can get your Chick-fil-A sandwich at this Tyler location until mid-November. The restaurant is closed and is receiving a fresh new look inside along with improvements to the drive-thru.

The restaurant posted on Instagram saying,

We're getting a fresh new look!

Mark your calendar, Thursday, October 12th will be our last day open until mid-November.

Beginning Friday, October 13th we will begin updating our dining room and drive-thru service areas!

It'll be tragic for those who don't know about this news when they drive up expecting to get a chicken sandwich on Friday the 13th!

The one thing we know about this situation is that the location on S. Broadway is going to be even busier during this remodel of the Troup Hwy. location.

While the Troup Hwy. location is closed and being remodeled, here's where you can get your Chick-fil-A fix now:

  • 5716 S. Broadway Ave.
  • 4601 S. Broadway Ave. (Broadway Square Mall)
  • 102 N. College (downtown Tyler)
  • Tyler Junior College
  • UT Tyler University Center
  • 13816 US Hwy 69 @ I-20 (Lindale)
