Downtown Longview’s Artwalk is October 3 [VIDEO]

Don't miss Downtown Longview's Artwalk from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday October 3, in Downtown Longview. Many local downtown businesses will take part in the festivities, and Longview World of Wonders, will host a special event called "Chalk the Walk" as well.

Many businesses will open their doors to artists to showcase work, but some like TCC PHOTO | GALLERY exhibit work continuously. Stop in to see the Third Annual International Holga Out of the box Photography Competitiong Exhibition juried by Ted Orland.

The Longview Museum of Fine Arts will feature 13 of the state's best Tejano aritists. You'll see artists' work from El Paso, Lubbock, San Antonio and Fort Worth in, Latin America Artists in Texas.

"Chalk the Walk" will feature sidewalk chalk games and chalk paintings in front of LongviewWOW's building at 112 E. Tyler St. Longview World of Wonders, the children's museum, is a non-profit organization working to open a hands-on children's discovery center in downtown Longview.

Other businesses showcasing art include: The Gregg County Historical Museum, Citizen's National Bank of Texas, The Arc Coffee Shop, Shannon's Beading Basket and The Artist's Gallery.

Performances the Judge T. Smith Sculpture Garden will include the ArtsView Bravo Players from Arts View Children's Theatre at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Sons of the Republic.

Art Walk Downtown Longview is a cooperative event among the businesses in Downtown Longview who believe in the promotions of art for the benefit of the Longview Community.
