You can help put an end to hunger in East Texas by donating non-perishable food items to the East Texas Food Bank simply by leaving them by your mailbox this weekend. Saturday is the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive for East Texas and the National Association of Letter Carriers will be collecting canned goods to benefit the East Texas Food Bank all while delivering your mail this Saturday.

Stamp Out Hunger is an easy and convenient way to help those in your community," said Dennis Cullinane, executive director of the East Texas Food Bank. "As one of the biggest food drives of the year, I encourage you to leave a sack of non-perishable food by your mailbox to help feed our hungry neighbors."

Last year nearly 78,000 pounds of food was collected by our local letter carriers and donated to the East Texas Food Bank.
