A baby isn’t the only thing Hilary Duff is giving the world soon. The proud mama-to-be is hard at work in the studio recording her new album!

The seven-months-pregnant starlet tweeted about her studio session. “@matt_squire ooooooo excitement ensuing …now! recording all day!” Duff posted on Thursday (Jan. 19).

Her producer, Matt Squire, was just as enthused about the process. “Had a great session with @HilaryDuff and @alitamposi. Amazing hang. Amazing song,” Squire wrote on Jan. 10.

It appears that despite the tracks sounding great, getting to make them may have posed some difficulties. Duff wrote on Jan. 12, “great day with @matt_squire & @martinsays song is sick… Worth almost getting run over! Xx” We’re not sure exactly what went down there, but we’re glad she didn’t actually get run over!

Duff has been working on getting her vocals back into shape for some time. In November, she revealed on Twitter that she was taking voice lessons. While it’s unclear when the ‘So Yesterday’ singer’s next album will drop, one thing’s for sure: we’ll have to wait quite a few months before she heads out on tour.

“I think that after I have the baby I’ll want to sit still for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom,” Duff told E! News. “And then there’s no reason why I can’t put a record out and tour… It might take a little while, but I’m really excited about it.” So are we!
