Justin Timberlake is a Justin-of-all trades. The singer/actor/fashion designer is launching a new endeavor: a home goods line.

While JT’s William Rast fashion line is a fave among celebs, his HomeMint brand will feature goods and art designed by both Timberlake himself and interior designer Estee Stanley. HomeMint is membership-based. For a $10 monthly fee, members have access to new products and discounts. Non-members can also shop, though. The line officially launches May 9.

While chatting with ELLE Décor, JT said he got into home design simply because it was a partnership with Stanley. “I don’t think I would do it if we weren’t in it together,” he said. “We’ve known each other for a long time and have worked together on my homes — we really have a like-minded vision for design so when BeachMint [the company behind HomeMint and sister sites StyleMint, BeautyMint and JewelMint] came to us with the opportunity, it felt like a really natural thing for us to do together. Estee and I are great friends, so it’s a lot of fun.”

Calling Stanley “the sister I never got to terrorize,” he joked that he probably annoyed her during the initial phases of the project, because “I’ll sit and I’ll look at hardware for hours. Literally, for hours, I’ll sit and compare hardware. The devil’s in the details.”

JT takes home design seriously and wants his items to be of the highest quality. He said, “It’s your home, it has to be your own. I like a lot of different things and the challenge is taking all the pieces you love and finding the common thread between them so it doesn’t look like it’s all just thrown into the same room.”

JT also said he likes “clean, almost modern architecture” and enjoys the challenge of making it warm and cozy. Wonder if JT will handle the design and layout of his marital home with fiancee Jessica Biel.
