Fireworks will soon be exploding over the skies of East Texas as we celebrate the independence of our great country.

One of the biggest fireworks shows in East Texas will be at Lindsey Park in Tyler on Saturday, July 4. Mix 93-1 is proud to be a part of this free event put on by the City of Tyler.

It's been an annual tradition for many years, and Mix 93-1 is proud to be a part of it. The Fourth of July Fireworks Show at Lindsey Park is a free event for all.

So, bring the entire family out for some great entertainment with live music, enjoy a picnic dinner with family or friends on the soccer fields and get ready for the fireworks once it gets dark.

Gates at Lindsey Park on Spur 346 in Tyler will open at 6 a.m. Parking will be free, in addition to live music presented by Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Q.

The City of Tyler expects to have additional food vendors on hand along with some activities from area civic groups to help keep the kids entertained. Some activities and or food vendors will require admission or will be charging for food.

As we celebrate our nation's independence, let us remember what our great nation stands. Mix 93-1 hopes you'll enjoy the free fireworks show thanks to the City of Tyler.

If you would like to support the fireworks show to help make it bigger and better through a donation, contact Caroline Sanchez in the City of Tyler communications office at 903-595-7248.
