Macklemore and Ryan Lewis acknowledged that they were an underground rap group when 2013 started. Now, they are one of the biggest acts in pop music. The pair performed on 'New Year's Rockin' Eve,' and before they took the stage in frigid NYC, they spoke to host Ryan Seacrest about scratching and clawing their way to the top.

Big ups to the 'Crest for letting Lewis talk -- no one does that! The twosome made it this far thanks to a cocktail of hard work and good songs.

When they took the stage, the Grammy-nominated and much-celebrated duo performed their hits 'Thrift Shop' and 'Can't Hold Us.' Mack wore a bright red cape/caftan that he probably popped a tag on. He paired it with bright red kicks -- always stylin', that guy. You'd never know it was in the low '30s in NYC because Macklemore was full of energy and unaffected by the chill. His energy and adrenaline probably kept him warm.

Macklemore also crowd surfed, bringing it to the people! Na na na na na na na na na na.

Here's to hoping that 2014 is just as good, if not better, to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
