I love to read, but with my work schedule, volunteering and social calendar I often find it difficult to set aside time to curl up and read a good book. This Fall I hope to change that.

I've made a list of books to read, or possibly listen to via audio book. I am trying to be practical, here my life is flying by before my eyes. I am a big fan of audible, and each month I receive a credit, one book, through my subscription.

I'm currently reading/listening to 'The Goldfinch' written by Donna Tartt, which won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2014. I've barely put a dent into the story, but the prose is old-fashioned and filled to the brim with imagery.

Another one on my 'To-Read' list is 'The Secret History' also written by Tartt. I discovered this title while looking into the details on 'The Goldfinch.' Set at a small New England college, a mystery is unraveled. It sounds intriguing.

Others on the list include 'The Devil in the White City' by Erik Larson and 'Purity,' Jonathen Franzen. Each of these came under the recommendation of my favorite newsletter, 'The Skimm.'

Have you read any of these novels, would you recommend them?
