Texas laws against domestic violence, for a very long time wasn’t always the most secure feeling in my opinion. A lot of  Texans were victims of domestic violence or witnesses and instantly realized that trying to receive protection, didn’t come as convenient as Texans would need.

I’m not saying that you have to necessarily jump through hoops to find a way to be protected if you were a domestic violence, victim, but what I will say is, that it was more difficult than it needed to be in my opinion. According to KVUE, Texans will not have to work as hard when getting family violence, and a protective order anymore. One of the requirements to get a protective order in Texas is when a Texan did file for a protective order, it was not common for it to be filed again. Some people say it was just too hard to prove, and now it gives victims more access to safety. The protective orders to get a family violence, protective work, only now need to prove that violence had occurred,  and the victim will no longer need to prove that it was likely to occur again.
