After spending two weeks in the hospital for his mild kidney failure, Nick Cannon is happy to say that he is well on his way to being fully recovered. Cannon spent some time with Howard Stern on air Tuesday morning (Jan. 17) where they discussed many topics, but the one people were most concerned about was the overall health of Mariah Carey‘s hubby and father to DemBabies!

“I’m good,” Cannon said, adding he still had a couple minor procedures to go through to make sure he’s on track. “I’m feeling 100 percent. Because of this situation, I know that I don’t need to go so hard. It’s more about just my way of living … It’s really about taking some time.”

Cannon found out unexpectedly about his kidney issues while vacationing in Aspen, Colo. with Carey and their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, over the holidays, when he became ill.

“They thought it was kidney stones, then a kidney infection,” explained Cannon. “They found out my kidney’s were not functioning well. So we said ‘mild kidney failure.’”

With a lot of TLC from Carey and care from the professional doctors treating his symptoms, Cannon was transferred to Los Angeles to finish out his hospital stay closer to home. Cannon says his wife’s support and love during the frightening time is what gave him the strength to stay positive.

“I’m happier than happy,” beamed Cannon. “Especially though this entire process, we’ve become so much closer … I even got a chance to see a different side of my wife where she became so nurturing. I’m in debt to her forever.”

We’re glad you’re feeling better Nick!
