  • Most Texans are making the standard resolutions for finances, mental health, and physical health.
  • Many of us are aspiring to be better versions of ourselves in 2024.
  • Finding a new job was the most popular New Year's resolution of 2023.

Now that Santa is done with his lists, it's time to start one for ourselves here in Texas. We are now embarking on the arduous task of making our New Year's resolutions.

According to Zippia, 41% of Americans make New Year's resolutions, while only around 9% reach their goals. In 2023 most Texans wanted a new job for the new year.

Even though around 80% of resolutions fail it doesn't stop us from doing our best and making new ones every year.  I was hoping that Texans would have some crazy ideas for resolutions, but they all seem very standard.

The Perfect Texas New Year's Resolution Doesn't Exist

Before I tell you what Texans will likely be putting on their list of actual resolutions, let's have some fun with some very obtainable Texas New Year resolutions.

  1. More road trips
  2. Bar-B-Q twice a month
  3. Bigger off-road tires
  4. Drink more sweet tea
  5. More front porch time

In Texas we love road trips, and I think road trips to hit every Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State would be an interesting resolution. There are 34+ locations in Texas, so you might have to be retired to hit this goal.

If you were to hit them all you could say that you had been to 72% of all the Buc-ee's in the U.S.

Take a look at these normal New Year's resolutions for 2024 and get some inspiration.
