For over fifteen years now East Texans have been joining the fight to find a cure to end breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen Tyler Race For The Cure. As in previous years, this years' event will be held Mother's Day weekend on Saturday, May 10th at Bergfeld Park in Tyler.

This race, along with other Komen races, is among the world's largest and most successful when it comes to education and fundraising for breast cancer research. The race is for all fitness levels and ages and participants can run, jog, trot or walk to support the cause.

Registration for the race is going on now. You may register online through the Komen Tyler website to have your race information mailed to you, if you register by Friday, May 2nd. In person registration will be held race week (May 7th, 8th & 9th) at The Market at the Crossing at 2210 Three Lakes Parkway in Tyler from 10a - 7p.

There's something for everyone, if you can't get out on race day or don't want to run or walk, you can Sleep In For The Cure too! Registering for this special event online and you'll receive a special race t-shirt, numbered bib and a special Sleep In item.

You can also support the Tyler Komen Race For The Cure by dining out too on a special Dine Out For The Cure night on Monday, May 5th at Bruno's Pizza on Old Jacksonville Hwy. in Tyler from 5p - 9p and at select area restaurants on race day from 6a to 9p.
