“Right now I’m actually finishing baking up the most incredible musical cake that you’ve ever eaten in your life.” Nope, that’s not Paula Deen talking about a new recipe (though we’re positive the cake would be absolutely delicious) — that would be Ms. Alicia Keys! The ‘Empire State of Mind’ songstress dishes up details on her upcoming album.

Former Alicia Keys backup singer and ‘The Voice‘ victor Jermaine Paul is going back to his roots. The soulman is gearing up to record with Keys once more — but in a much different capacity. No longer a backup singer but now a star in his own right, Paul revealed that the pair will do a duet!

Alicia Keys graced the stage of MTV Up Front, the music network’s showcase of its summer television lineup. Accompanied only by a piano, Keys hit the keys and sang her heart out, treating the audience to a brand-new song from her upcoming (and as yet untitled) new album.

Alicia Keys shared the cover image of the upcoming issue of Vibe, which is graced by her beautiful face. The singer is over the moon about the result of the shoot, as she tweeted: “You get the first look! I’m in love with this @vibemagazine !!!!

With the recent passing of Etta James, it’s only appropriate that the Recording Academy will pay homage to the late R&B icon with a live performance at the 2012 Grammys. It has now been confirmed that Alicia Keys is the songstress who will perform a tribute to Miss Peaches at the show on Feb. 12.

Is karma biting Alicia Keys in the butt? The singer and her husband, rapper/producer Swizz Beatz, got together while he was still married — though he was separated at the time — and now the producer is being accused of cheating again.

It was 10 years ago that Alicia Keys released her first solo album Songs In A Minor, that she is re-releasing it today.  Her debut album spawned the huge hit Fallin' along with Rock Wit U and A Woman's Worth and won her 5 Grammy Awards in 2002.  MTV spoke with Alicia about her early look and what it took to make listeners fall her way.  Catch the interview after the jump.

In honor of Valentine's week, Billboard has compiled a list of the biggest duets of all time -- and coming in at #1 is "Endless Love," by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. The magazine came up with the list by ranking each song on a point system based on its performance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: the more weeks a song spent at #1, the more points it would get.

The 2011 Grammys may have been Gaga's show, but people actually won some awards, too. Biggest shocker (maybe?) was unknown songstress Esperanza Spalding making enemies with a nation of Justin Bieber fans by taking Best New Artist.
