March 22, 2013 Each year thousands of East Texans converge upon Bergfeld Park in early May for the annual Komen Tyler Race For The Cure as they run, walk and sleep in to help find a cure for breast cancer. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the race here in Tyler.

Last night in Tyler, local firefighters took a break from the front lines to get in touch with their feminine side and raise money and awareness for breast cancer at a Bras for the Cause event, with the Women's Council of Realtors.
October 10, 2012 For the fourth year in a row, the Tyler Fire Department turned Tyler Pink last night to honor those that have fought, are fighting and could be fighting breast cancer. The event is in conjunction with national breast cancer awareness month and promotes breast cancer awareness. The students of TISD were challenged yesterday to show their support by wearing pink and one school stood above all the others.
May 11, 2012 The Komen Tyler Race For The Cure is tomorrow morning at Bergfeld Park in Tyler. More than 4,000 people have registered to enter the race to help find a cure for breast cancer and today is the last day to preregister by stopping by Brookshires on Rice Rd. in Tyler from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
