It’s taken forever and a day to finally see both Arnold Schwarzenegger taking the Celebrity Apprentice desk, and Emerald City come to life, but NBC has finally made a firm commitment. Both high-profile new series have set January bows, just barely into 2017.

Donald Trump has made a repeated point of NBC “begging” him to carry on as host of The Celebrity Apprentice, rather than pursue his Presidential aspirations, but it doesn’t sound as if the network would ask Arnold Schwarzenegger to give up the desk, should Trump come crawling back. NBC says The Donald will “never” return, at least in the current regime.

As the looming political race only darkens, it’s nice to know Donald Trump doesn’t leave everything he touches a pile of ash. So benefits Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first poster for the action hero’s takeover of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, looking as magnificent as ever.

It’s been some time since we learned NBC would replace the unendingly topical Donald Trump on Celebrity Apprentice with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and at last we know how the rest of the series will shake out. In addition to moving to California, Season 8 will feature guests the likes of Tyra Banks, Jessica Alba, Warren Buffett, and so many more.
