He's the record holder for the most consecutive wins in a single category in the Grammy Awards, he's won 4 "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" grammy's - 1999 to 2002. In addition he's won numerous other awards and has appeared in numerous movies throughout his career. I've chosen one of his early hits as today's Mix 93-1 Retro Video of the Day. Some of the game shows I remember watching during the summers of my childhood were: The Price Is Right, Family Fued, The $100,000 Pyramid, Card Shark, Tic Tac Dough, Win Lose or Draw, Press Your Luck and more! When I was watching these shows I wanted to be a game show host, but that dream didn't work out. When I saw the video for Lenny Kravitz's "Stand" it took me back to my childhood!

I was watching the finale of Survivor Sunday night (or at least I think it was Survivor!) and saw a commercial for Jeep featuring Lenny Kravitz. He's promoting Jeep and at the same time promoting his upcoming album Black And White America, which is scheduled to be released August 2011. Some of the past performers include Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias, John Mayer, Carrie Underwood and more. Back this year are Train, The Script and Maroon 5 along with a ton of other artists.
