Both Lavigne and Kroeger were on hand at 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest,' to chat about their impending nuptials and their work together on Avril's still-untitled upcoming album including her new single 'Here's to Never Growing Up.'

Well that's apparently off and has been for some time now because People magazine is reporting that she is now engaged to Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger.
Avril Lavigne has been hard at work on her followup to ‘Goodbye Lullaby,’ and she’s been proudly collaborating with fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger of Nickelback on the project. The ‘How You Remind Me’ rocker revealed what it’s like working — and playing — with Lavigne.

Back in November, there was an online petition going around to keep the band from performing the halftime show at a Detroit Lions game, but the petition organizer was unsuccessful and the show went on. Haters have since have been tweeting and talking trash about the band. But, in a surprising move, Nickelback is responding.
