Update 1:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service says the threat for large hail and tornadoes is now less than it looked yesterday, but is still not gone completely. It appears now the greatest threat is going to be from winds in excess of 70 mph.
The northern half of East Texas is under a slight risk of severe weather today. Isolated thunderstorms with the possibility of very large hail could develop later this afternoon.

Strong thunderstorms are possible across all of East Texas today as a cold front moves through the area. As the cold front enters the western parts of East Texas they will begin to strengthen. More after the jump.
Yesterday's unprecedented storms barged through East Texas to Shreveport unyielding in their power. Several confirmed tornadoes were sighted and touched down.
