One of Six Flags' most recognizable rides, the "Texas Chute Out," which has been a part of the Arlington Skyline since 1976, is no more.
This weekend is the last weekend you'll be able to ride The Texas Chute Out and Flashback at Six Flags Over Texas. The park will stop operating these thrill rides Monday evening and the space will be occupied by a new thrill ride called the Texas SkyScreamer which will open in 2013!
Your final chance to ride two iconic rides at Six Flags Over Texas will be Labor Day. The park will be closing the Texas Chute Out along with Flashback after decades of service to make way for a yet to be announced new attraction for the park.
When Six Flags Fiesta Texas opened their gates in 1992, the park had one roller coaster, The Rattler. After millions of riders throughout its 20 year history, The Rattler will give thrill seekers their last ride on its nearly mile long track on August 5th.
The other day I was thinking back about my first part-time job and thought about how much fun it was! I was 16 years old when I entered the job market and was really excited that I was going to get a paycheck and have money of my own.
Tuesday afternoon the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex was ravaged by a few rounds of severe weather that spawned several tornadoes and did quite a bit of damage throughout the metroplex. There were even reports of a tornado in the vicinity of Six Flags Over Texas, the Rangers Ballpark In Arlington and Cowboys Stadium but thankfully the tornado never touched down and no damage was done to any of the facilities. That's good news for us and me seeing how Six Flags is one of my favorite places to go and have fun (no to mention it was the place I got my first job, so I'm kinda partial to the park!)
It’s one of East Texas’ favorite Metroplex-area destinations, and for all you roller coaster fans, thrill seekers and lovers of food that’s really bad for you, it’s time for fun at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
Six Flags Over Texas is not just a place to take the family, it is also a place for a family reunion 23 years in the making. Jennifer Stuart and her daughter Christina were reunited after Jennifer put her daughter up for adoption 23 years ago. The two found each other just a few weeks ago.
