There are still plenty of things to do in East Texas on this unofficial last weekend of summer.

Summer is still a ways off, however, it is starting to heat up in East Texas and soon we'll be looking for some relief from the heat. A great place to do that is at your closest water park!

Finally some good news in Canton.  As the tornado relief efforts continue, Canton looks forward to a little fun and stress relief this summer at Splash Kingdom Waterpark.  We've got the opening date for Canton's Splash Kingdom Paradise Island, and the opening dates for many more of the best water parks in Texas.

East Texas has seen its fare share of rain and severe weather this spring. It's been one of the wettest years on records, and one that has caused much pain and destruction for many East Texas families.
