Director JJ Abrams is infamous for keeping details on his projects on the down low, so many people have already begun speculating what will go on with the production of 'Star Wars Episode 7.' If there's one thing we learned from watching the production of the prequel trilogy, it's that 'Star Wars' fans are as passionate as they are nosy and if there's one thing we've learned from 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' it's that Abrams plays things close to the vest. A recent interview with LucasFilm honcho Kathleen Kennedy shed some light on this whole situation.

When ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 3D’ was released this past winter, the plan on LucasFilm’s behalf was to release a 3D-converted ‘Star Wars’ film annually, at approximately the same time each year. That plan gets tossed into Sarlacc’s belly as of today: LucasFilm has announced, via press release, that ‘Attack of the Clones’ and ‘Revenge of the Sith’ will be coming out within a month of each other next fall.

George Lucas is famous — or should we say infamous — for tinkering with the original ‘Star Wars‘ movie trilogy. For example, he’s “updated” them with CGI technology that was unavailable at the time they were originally shot, much to the dismay of movie purists the world over who felt they were perfect as-is.
