The ‘Dog Days of Summer’ Swimming Event in Longview, TX on Saturday

It's not exactly a shocker to find out that I love dogs, so when I hear about any type of event that involves our furry family members, I want to help spread the word. Which is exactly the case regarding the 'Dog Days of Summer' taking place in Longview, Texas coming up on Saturday, August 5th, 2023.

The Longview Parks Department will be working this week to get the Longview Swim Center ready for the end of the summer season. But the final event of the year will be its annual 'Dog Days of Summer event'. The event is also put on by the wonderful people at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, most dogs love this event because they get to go swimming.

Not Sure If It's More Fun for the Owners or the Dogs

I've been to an event similar to this but not in Longview and it was so much fun. The dogs are all so happy to be able to splash around in the pool and it's nice to meet so many dog owners that just want to make their dogs happy. Plus, the dogs get in some great exercise which means they are normally exhausted and need a nap after going in the pool.

The 'Dog Days of Summer' event is open to the public on Saturday, August 5th from 10:00am until noon. The event will take place at the Longview Swim Center at 1111 West Fairmont Street in Longview.
