I'm sure those of you who know me well have noticed that I have not yet spoken out on the horrible shootings that took place this past Friday. I honestly don't know what to say or how to say it. It's like when the news broke, I just blocked it out, wished it away. I still struggle with what to say, but this story I read today, pretty much says it all. Every emotion that I have felt for the last few days, came crashing in on me all at once when I read this story. It's still too much to digest. It's still an unthinkable, unimaginable, unbelievable event that took beautiful innocent lives -- and we may never know why.

As a mother, I can't even begin to know the depth of emotions those mothers who lost their children feel. All I can do is pray for those victims, families and the community that will be forever changed. You know I usually know how I feel on any given event or situation, but with this -- I'm simply lost.

This is the story of a 6-year-old little girl, who was the lone survivor of her first grade class during the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school. This is the end of her innocence.

What are the answers, the solutions to prevent evil in this world like this massacre from ever happening again? God help us.
