The Skate Car Will Ride Again [VIDEO + POLL]

Growing up in Longview, seeing the giant Rollercade Skate Car cruising the loop alongside you was always a treat. Now, a local art teacher is working to bring it back to the pavement.

According to the Longview News Journal, Jeff Hull an art teacher at Longview High School, wants to restore the art car to its former glory.

“Bonnie, my wife, would tell you I have been after this for 20 years, but when I saw Scott (Zhorne) trying to buy the property, I made a renewed effort,” said Jeff Hull,l who helps with the Art Car Club, told the Longview News Journal. “Being part of the art car movement, I just knew it couldn’t get crushed. It needed to get into the hands of people that were going to restore it and keep it an art car.”
