It was Monday morning when we learned that Adele did record the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall.  The release of the song coincided with James Bond's 0:07, in London time and the song debuted on Adele's website.  However, we did get a :90 clip of the song on Tuesday thanks to a French radio station, but now the song is officially out.

The song follows a long line of Bond theme songs and to me it sounds like a Bond theme song should sound.  Adele recorded the song in London's famed Abbey Road studios along with a 77 piece orchestra.  The release of the song was also timed with the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, Dr. No, which premiered on October 5, 1962.

According to Yahoo! News, this song could become one of the top 10 greatest Bond songs of all time, right along side Duran Duran's A View To A Kill.  The latest James Bond film Skyfall will open nationwide on November 9th.  Until then we've got Adele to listen to on repeat!
