ALERT: Be Careful Texas! The Cold Is Bringing This Animal Back
As temperatures drop in Texas, some animals return to the nature of the state.
Different seasons always bring changes to the Lone Star State. With the heat, certain animals look for relief from the Texas sun. Others may truly enjoy the heat and wander around in it.
But there's an opposite to heat, which we all know is the cold. Nobody really likes being cold right? Especially when it's wet too right?
But, believe it or not, there are animals in the state of Texas that are looking forward to the cold. However, they might not all be friendly to humans.
What Animal In Texas Has Made It's Presence Known In The Cold?
Well according to Chron, this animal appears thanks to many factors. The biggest one you ask? None other than the smell of food.
But what is this animal? None other than the Black Bear. The Killeen Daily Herald even reports that Texans seeing Black Bears has gone up.
So what should you do if you see a Black Bear in The Lone Star State? Chron reports the Texas Parks And Wildlife Department encourages people to not attempt to feed the animal, and stay away from it.
If someone is closer than they should be to the black bear, TPWD states that you should not run, or make eye contact with it, as it could make the bear's chase instinct to activate.
Further details on how you can protect yourself from a black bear can be found here. Be safe and smart Texans!
