We all know that Texas is an amazing place to live, there is so much to do and see while you’re in the gigantic lone star state. But Texas is not new, it’s full of history and you can still visit or even choose to stay at some of the locations that have been around for a very long time. Talk about making some cool memories with your family, making a trip to any of these older Texas hotels would be so much fun. Let’s take a look at 9 of the oldest hotels in the state of Texas.
A few years ago, on a quick weekend getaway I was fortunate enough to stop at the Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin. It still had that historic vibe going on and was a lot of fun to visit even though we only stayed for a short period of time as we just wanted to see what it looked like. What’s the Oldest Hotel in Texas?
The oldest hotel in Texas opened in 1779, it was the Goliad Inn in Goliad, Texas. Although it doesn’t seem to still be in business. The next oldest opened in 1859 and you can learn more about the Menger Hotel below.
