Keep Scrolling to Check Out the Top Ten Attractions Across Texas
This is once again going to be one of those don't shoot the messenger stories because this top ten comes from Trip Advisor. I constantly use them whenever I am planning a trip somewhere and I was shocked to see what it said are the must stop attractions in Texas. So let's kick things off with number ten.
10. Barton Springs Pool (Austin, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Pull off a cannonball jump at this three-acre swimming pool in Zilker Park. Fed by natural underground springs with an average temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, this limestone pool is a lovely respite from the scorching Texan summers"
9. Houston Museum of Natural Science (Houston, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "This outstanding science museum has a spectacular collection of mineral specimens, a dinosaur skeleton, space-station models, a planetarium, IMAX theater and a six-story butterfly center in which these beautiful creatures land delicately on outstretched arms."
8. Reunion Tower (Dallas, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Reunion Tower, an iconic Dallas landmark, offers panoramic 360-degree views of the Dallas skyline."
7. Fort Worth Stockyards (Fort Worth, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Home to cowboys in addition to historic hotels and western-style shopping."
6. Natural Bridge Caverns (San Antonio, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Natural Bridge Caverns is one of Texas’ largest underground attractions that is best explored on a guided tour."
5. Sixth Floor Museum (Dallas, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "One of Texas’ most visited historic sites, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza chronicles the life, death and legacy of President John F. Kennedy."
4. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden (Dallas, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "A nationally acclaimed 66 acre display garden features breathtaking floral displays all year long"
3. The Alamo (San Antonio, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Established in 1718 as Mission San Antonio de Valero, for over 300 years the former mission now known as the Alamo has been a crossroads of history. Having existed under six flags of independent nations and served as a garrison for five different armies, the Alamo has a rich history and a heritage to inspire Texans and people around the world."
2. Space Center Houston (Houston, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Located in the heart of NASA’s spaceflight program, Space Center Houston is a must-visit for fans of space exploration. With more than 400 space-related artefacts and numerous interactive exhibitions, you can easily spend a whole day learning about NASA’s history and current work."
1. San Antonio River Walk (San Antonio, Texas)
TripAdvisor says, "Also known as Paseo del Rio, this 15-mile-long river walk is a must-do in San Antonio. Opt for a self-guided walking or bike tour of the riverside paths, lined with beautiful cypress trees, shops, museums, hotels and of course, Tex-Mex restaurants."
When it comes to this top ten, I have only done five on the list. River Walk, The Alamo, Dallas Arboretum, Fort Worth Stockyards, and the Sixth Floor Museum. If I had to recommend only one. Honestly, the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas is one of the best museums I have ever been to. If you have never been, I personally think it is the best attraction on the list. If I could give you one to skip? The Dallas Arboretum is quite overrated.
