Basketball Camp At Glass Recreation Center In Tyler

If you've got a child wanting to learn to play basketball, you're in luck because there is a basketball camp coming up over the next 2 weeks at the Glass Recreation Center in Tyler. The Glass Recreation Center and the Tyler Spurs will be offering this week long youth basketball camp for kids in the 3rd - 8th grades in two different sessions at the Glass Recreation Center Gym at 501 W. 32nd St. in Tyler.

Session l, for boys and girls in grades 3-5, will take place June 6-10 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
Session ll, for boys and girls in grades 6-8, will take place June 13-17 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.  (City Of Tyler press release)

Your younge basketball star can improve their skills on team fundamentals and learn offensive and defensive posturing.  Highlights of the week long camp include 5-on-5 game play, hot shot contest, free throw and a bump tournament.  At the close of the camp on Friday Campers will be able to show off the skills they practiced on during a showcase tournament.
