So, how are your solar eclipse party plans coming along? Well, something tells us Royal Caribbean's Total Eclipse Cruise has you beat. The cruise ship company has nabbed Bonnie Tyler to perform her 1983 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" on board while one of their boats sails right into the path of totality.

The week-long cruise leaves Florida on Aug. 20, with the event taking place on Aug. 21, when Tyler will be backed by the band DNCE, led by Joe Jonas. "The eclipse of the sun lasts two minutes and 40 minutes, I'm told," Tyler told Rolling Stone. "Unlike my song. It had to be chopped about because it was so long. I never thought it would be played on the radio, in the beginning."

The president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, Michael Bayley, said “Bonnie Tyler was a natural choice for this once-in-a-lifetime moment." When asked if she was worried about the possibility of an attack of seasickness during the performance, she told  Time Magazine "I have a ship of my own. I go with the flow, darling. I’m not worried about things like that."

Tyler recorded the Jim Steinman song for her fifth album, Faster Than the Speed of Light. It topped the Billboard 100 and U.K. Singles charts, sold more than six million copies and was nominated for a Grammy. "Eclipse" regularly enjoys a resurgence in popularity leading up to the astrological events from which it takes its name - in fact, it's already on the rise this year.

On the 21st, those in the path of totality will witness a rare event in which the moon completely covers the sun. Those outside of its path will also see a partial eclipse, according to NASA.
