Charlie Sheen is reportedly under investigation for "assault with a deadly weapon" after he allegedly tried to attack his dentist with a knife, TMZ reports. Yikes.

According to the site, the troubled actor was at an L.A. dental office last week to have work done on an abscessed tooth. As the technician put a mask over his face to give him nitrous oxide, he allegedly started flailing his arms and hit her. She then left and Sheen's security guard went in to the room, which was also occupied by Sheen's dentist and oral surgeon. The technician reportedly said that when the dentist came out, he revealed that the 'Anger Management' actor "pulled a knife and went after him." He was unharmed.

The technician also allegedly claimed that Sheen's security guard told the dentist that the actor was high on "rock cocaine." TMZ reports that the LAPD are investigating the situation and are looking at potential battery against the technician and felony assault with a deadly weapon against the dentist.

For his part, Sheen's lawyer, Marty Singer, vehemently denies the allegations against his client, calling the claims "completely fabricated" and that "no bodyguard made the absurd statement to the dentist."

He did, however, acknowledge that Sheen did not react well to the laughing gas, saying: "Charlie had a bad reaction to the noxious gas put in his mouth and nose."
